The Colt 1911 Government Series 70 National Match is a .45 ACP caliber semi-automatic pistol with a 7+1 round capacity. Although its mechanical operation is identical to that of the original pistol, it is equipped with certain features:

? A 5" National Match barrel with exacting tolerances.

? A crisp and precise trigger pull.

? A set of LAMR G10 Blue grips.

Match sights include a Novak rear sight adjustable for elevation and windage, as well as an adjustable dovetail-mounted front sight. They provide a clear, crisp, and perfectly readable sight pattern.

? The hammer and sear are openworked and lightweight for a crisp and precise trigger pull.

? An elongated beavertail safety pedal to improve the pistol's grip.

? Dual return springs improve recoil while extending its life.

? An elongated castertail safety pedal with a Memory Bump at its base ensures its retraction without being necessary. There is no longer any need to overtighten the grip.

Beyond the additional equipment, the features haven't aged one iota and, unsurprisingly, you'll find the single-action trigger, two safeties (manual safety and original foot pedal), rings, and a single-column magazine.
